Dr. Māra Jākobsone, Research and innovation project manager and researcher, Board member
Education: PhD in Economics (1990) and Statistics Institute of Finance and Economics, St, Petersburg, Msci in Economics and Statistics (1984) from University of Latvia, Riga.
Post-doctoral studies in University of Twente (The Netherlands) - Market research methodologies and University of Linkoping (Sweden) - Analysis and simulation of Information Systems.
Professional experience: Mara Jākobsone was one of the founders of DMG (Data Media Group) in 1996 and is currently working on a variety of projects, specifically the Net-Share project (under CIP program from DG INFSO), Telecentre Europe initiative, BONITA project (Baltic Organisation and Network of Innovation Transfer Associations - Interreg program).
Areas of expertise include consulting in the European RTD and Innovation Policy Sector, as well as developing and leading ICT and innovation research projects, she has experience in evaluation methodologies and e-Skills training.
Currently Mara Jakobsone is also involved in some projects of LIKTA (Latvian information and communication Technology association), she is a Board member and Vice-president of the organization.
She also has experience in working for the Commission, as she was involved as project expert and manager in several EU projects since 2005 (IST4Balt and Star-NET- under FP6, Tender ICT RTD audit in Latvia). Mara Jakobsone undertook a traineeship in DG INFSO in the eMac project in 2004-2005 (support and training for eTEN contact points for new EU member countries).
Mara Jakobsone is a member of Telecentre Europe Steering Committee and Telecentre.org advisory board.
Alvis Rudens, Chairman of the board, researcher
Alvis Rudens is a key accounts and contractors manager. He has been a team manager and expert for the Baltic IT&T Forum 2009 project as well as involved in the previous Baltic IT&T Forum projects. He has been leading several projects connected with development of Innovative services like the Latvian ICT yearly award Platīna pele (Platinium mouse).
He holds a Certificate in Advanced Project Management & Team Leading from Straight Forward Training, UK, a Certificate in Business plan preparation, from Ventspils University College, Latvia, and an English Interpreter/translator certificate (1995) from the University of Latvia.
Andris Melnūdris, ICT project manager, researcher
Education: Andris Melnūdris received a MA and Bachelors degree in Information technologies (1992-1997, Riga Technical University, Department of Automatics and Computer Engineering).
Professional experience: Andris joined Data Media Group in 1998 and is currently working on different ICT research and studies, promotion and facilitation of SME's partnership and cross-border cooperation, international co-operation, management of ICT events.
His areas of expertise include consulting of SMEs and other organisations in the European RTD and innovation policy field, as well as EC project management. Andris has also experience of being creative director for a wide variety of advertising and PR campaigns, experience of international marketing and PR.
He has experience in co-ordination of EU funded projects (IST4Balt, Star-Net), e-skills projects (ESF EQUAL project), and numerous research projects at Data Media Group, as well as Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA). Recently he has been managing a research project Latvia - RTD technological audit, carried out for DG INFSO.
Ms. Zane Pīzele, project manager, researcher
Acquired her professional education in University of Latvia in the Faculty of Economics and Management, in bachelors study program. Now she continues her studies in University of Latvia in Faculty of Economics and Management in the masters program of Business Administration. Currently she is working at DMG (Data Media Group) as a project manager. Within the framework of project of Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia she has large experience in work with enterprises, access to large databases of SMEs in Latvia. She has wide knowledge about information handling and organizing seminars, experience to work as expert for National and International ICT projects.
Mrs. Elita Ozoliņa, project manager, researcher
Elita Ozoliņa holds the Master degree in Informatics and economics. Her research experience is mostly linked with technology enhanced learning and e-skills developments. Elita Ozoliņa has more than 10 years experience in research and coordination activities in Latvian government and EU funded research and e-skills projects.
