AMbient COmmunication for Sense of Presence (AMCOSOP)

 

The AMbient COmmunication and Sense Of Presence (AMCOSOP) project is aimed at elderly people, with the goal of reducing their loneliness and fear of isolation. This will be accomplished by providing its users a sense of presence with their relatives, friends, and health care personnel, and assuring that the elderly are never left alone. The AMCOSOP system encourages people to stay in contact with others by providing a clear way of displaying availability information of communication partners in an ambient way, while also encouraging its users’ to maintain social connections with people in their safety net.

The Intelligent Road Solution – for All Conditions!

 

In this exhibition we will show market ready results for the intelligent road from the ongoing iRoad-project. In this project sensor-based road marking units have been developed in cooperation between academia and industry which enable self-sustained, autonomous and distributed systems that can cooperate with other intelligent infrastructure systems and intelligent vehicles. These units have been fully integrated into intelligent road marking units “the intelligent road” which have been tested in real-life settings under different climatic conditions in Northern Sweden.

I-Space Sample

 

The purpose of this R & D project is to develop new technologies, which can enhance learning and motivation of mentally impaired citizens. The nucleus of the project is combining the technology from Play Alive A/S and Team Online A/S. Play Alive develops intelligent playgrounds. The overall idea of this is to use the fascination of computer gaming to bring kids back to physical play and interaction through an integration of intelligence in different devices in the playground. The intelligent part is 18 satellites, touch sensitive, with light and sound. The mentally impaired citizens use them to train through play different embedded games. Team Online develops web-based CMS-solutions to pedagogical and administrative practises within institutions. The actual devise combines the potentials in the physical set up with the CMS system thereby it opens up for motivation (through play), learning (through activities and documentation (in the Bosted System).
