Antanas Mitasiunas is PhD in Computer Science and associated professor at Vilnius University and the founder and managing director of software development and consulting company „MIT-SOFT“.  Antanas is inside academia for 40 years, including 16 years period as a head of Computer Science department, and 20 years - inside business. Antanas‘ motto is an integration of research, education and business.


Antanas obtained his PhD at Moscow State University on optimizing compilers area. During last 15 years scientific interests are focussed in software process and process capability assessment and improvement. Antanas is certified ISO/IEC 15504 assessor.


Main achievements during past 5 years are contribution to the Project Enterprise SPICE in many roles: Advisory Board member, model architecture team member, author, editorial team member, reviewer.


An experience gained in process capability modelling area and particularly in Project Enterprise SPICE was used and shared  in BONITA Project to apply process modelling approach for innovation and technology transfer area.


As a result of consulting activity in the role of expert team leader there were developed feasibility studies and investments projects that  funding about 100 M€ and are currently are implemented.



Antanas is participant of all main processes in Lithuania related to electronic signature infrastructure and official electronic documents. MitSoft company managed by Antanas is main electronic documents solutions provider in Lithuania.
